Secondary

Films:

1: Total Recall (1990)

In Arnold’s second Johnny Cab ride in Total Recall he’s running from the group out to kill him. He hops into the Johnny Cab and instructs the autonomous, robotic driver just to start driving, which it cannot do without an address. This is the best example of the types of cars I want but in my short film the cars require you to manually put in the address/postcode. The film may be and action film when it comes to genre but the Johnny Cab from this film is just the thing I was looking for.

2: I, Robot (2004)

Another great example early in the film, Del Spooner, a Chicago police detective played by Will Smith, develops a distrust of robots after a car crash ended in a robot saving him over a preteen girl based on their individual chances of survival. Already ethicists are pondering the same issues in regard to autonomous cars.

3: Christine (1983)

A nerdy young man restores a 1950s Plymouth which turns out to be processed by evil and drives around killing people. Spoiler alert: at the end of the film the Plymouth unfolds itself from being crushed into a cube, which make you wonder why the car needed the kid in the first place. This is good as in my film the one in the crashed do die.

Posters

1: Total Recall (1990)

In this poster for the 1990’s film total recall. It has the main actors face close and slightly blacked out on one side. It gives nothing away about the plot or the point of the film. The title and slogan also do not give away too much amount the film. That give it a senesce of misery and the works with the way that Schwarzenegger’s face has been blacked out. The things that I will use from this poster in my own is the face being black out. I may use 2 faces 1 the villain and 2 the hero.

2 I, Robot (2004)

in the I robot poster, the words I robot are clearly the focus of the poster. The title share the focus with will smith. The back ground is noticeable but not as noticeable as will smith or the title.

The things that I will use from this poster in my own is having the title as the focus of the poster. I will also have it going from side to side at the bottom of the poster.

3 Christine (1983)

This poster is practically perfect. The way that this poster is framed and the car in the fire clay shoes that the car is the bad guy or at least the main problem.

For this one I will use the care in the center but I will have a car crash Instead of a single car looking straight on.
