Sinopsis

My trailer has a mother, son and daughter sitting at a table. The father then walks in and asks how their day went. The scene then changes to the daughter as an alcoholic followed by the mother with part of a store blowing up behind her and finally the son bribing kids at school. The action returns to the table scene again and all the family say "fine" at the same time.

Script

and daughter are sitting around the main table when the father walks in.

Father: "So... how was your day"

The scene changes to the son bribing kids in his class for homework and test answers.

The scene then comes back to the family siting at the table.

Son: "Fine".

Primary research:

For my primary research I had all ready decided that i was going to do an animation but i needed to know what the animation was going to contain.

I asked 15-18 year olds about the genre of trailer that they watch the most.

Action: 3

Comedy: 4

Thriller: 2

I then asked them how many characters they would like the story to follow.

2 Characters: 3

3 Characters: 1

4 Characters: 5

The next thing that I asked them was if they wanted the characters to be related or not.

Yes: 5

No: 4

With this information I will create an animation that is a comedic family of four trailer.

Shot list

Shot one

Family sitting around a table.

Shot two

Shot of the mothers' side of the day.

Shot 3

Shot of the daughters' side of the day

Shot 4

Shot of the sons' side of the day.

The process.

Over the process of making this, I not only developed the Photoshop characters into moving animations, I also developed some After Effects skills when using the puppet tool.
